Bioleaching is a robust and cost-effective technology. A very
experienced in this rapidly-developing field, CETEM offers a
full range of services for the evaluation and Pilot-scale implementation
of microbiological leaching processes.
This includes mixed cultures of mesophilic bacteria or thermophilic
microorganisms, bench scale and piloting test work, and the
design and commissioning of refractory gold and base metal projects.
Both concentrate and heap leaching technologies can be provided.
In addition, CETEM is also involved in the bio-remediation of
crude oil-bearing soils, assisting the Brazilian oil companies
to sort out their environmental concerns with a patent of one
bio-reactor being granted. When it comes to chemical separation
processes, CETEM can provide to our customers with a comprehensive
minerals processing package.
Our experienced bio-hydrometallurgy team of process chemists,
chemical engineers and biologists is supported by in-house professionals,
which includes cost engineers, chemical analysts and mineralogists.
We have also expertise in the areas of dissolution, purification
and concentration (Leaching, Pressure leaching, solvent extraction,
Ion Exchange, Electrowinning and Precipitation).
