The
Allegra Method was developed on the basis of research by Allegra
Viviane Yallouz while preparing to obtain her Ph.D. in Analytical
Chemistry, under the supervision of Dr. Reinaldo Calixto Campos,
at the Chemistry Department of the Rio de Janeiro Catholic University
(PUC-RIO), leading to patent application 9806480-0 at the Brazilian
National Institute of Industrial Property. The technical improvements
and studies on the expansion of the Method's applicability, as
well as the case studies and communications, have been developed
at the Center for Mineral Technology (CETEM/MCT) since 1997.
